A tripartite government was created.
Each part had its own responsibilities.

Examples include:
Attend assembly meetings

7. Checks & Balances Romans put restrictions on their leader’s power
Gave government officials the ability to restrict the powers of other officials
Laws proposed by the Senate had to be approved by the magistrates and approved by the assemblies
Checks and balances keep any one part of a government from becoming stronger or more influential than others
