Learning to re-tell the story of “Jack and the Beanstalk” with story-telling prompts

Using an atlas and a globe to find places
Using “animate” on Hwb to make a rainforest animation
Finding and labelling places and features on a map Looking at the landmarks and features of Brazil
Practising our Welsh conversations with a friend
Practising track and field events for Sports Day

Reminders
PTA Quacky Duck Race will be held at Llantwit Major beach on Saturday 10th June at 11:30 am (stalls open from 10:30am)
PE days are Thursdays - kit needed for indoors and outside.
Please can you clearly label all clothing/lunchboxes/water bottles
Home reading books - please make a comment in the yellow record book and return the plastic sets of word cards each week
Fruit snack is available for 20p per day or children may bring their own.
Follow our activities on
Foundation Phase Sports Day will be held at school on our back field (behind Nursery) on Thursday 15th June at 9:30 am. We expect it to last about an hour. Children are invited to come to school wearing their team colours and appropriate footwear. Please make sure they have a water bottle in school. There will be a viewing area for spectators around the outside of the Sport area and refreshments will be on sale. Children will need to remain with their teachers and classes for the duration of the Sports events and will then return to their classes. Safety of the children is paramount and we ask that spectators do not encourage children to come to the viewing area during the event.
Home Learning activities
Please support your child in practising additions on the back of this sheet, by holding the larger number in their head and counting on. This does not need to be returned to school.
Please support your child in learning how to log in to Active Learn and Hwb independently.
