A NOUN is a word or idea that names: A PERSON A PLACE A THING Or an IDEA They can be singular or plural

Whether they’re SINGULAR or PLURAL depends on whether they’re naming ONE person, place, thing or idea or MORE THAN ONE. Usually you’ll add an –s or -es to form the plural of most nouns. Some do not change though. Girl / Girls Hobby/Hobbies Sheep/Sheep
