Health What is Health? The “ World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

The World Health Organization is a specialized agency which is part of the United Nations. It was founded on the 7th April 1948 to develop the health level around the world.

Individual Factors: Age Gender Genetics Behaviour (exercise, eating habits, stress, alcohol and drug consumption, hygiene, etc.)

10th: Dengue - Kills 25,000 a year Dengue fever is a tropical disease transmitted by the mosquito, without vaccine or treatment. It is also one of the fastest growing diseases in the world.

9th: Leishmaniasis - Kill 20,000-30,000 per year Leishmaniasis is an infectious disease, but not contagious, caused by parasites. Like Dengue, Leishmaniasis has no vaccine or cure.
