3 Who are we? A policy advocacy organisation taking on issues of discrimination, social justice and service access A public and professional education movement, intent on challenging stigma Home of the annual UK Recovery Walk

4 Who are we? Our history Originally inspired by FAVOR in US
UK Recovery Walk Charity established (2013) Currently over 1,500 members FAVOR UK (2015)

5 What do we do? Deliver messages of hope to the cultures of addiction within our systems and treatment services Advocate for the availability, variety and quality of local/regional treatment and recovery support services Advocate for of laws and social policies that reduce alcohol and other drug problems and support recovery for those suffering from alcohol and other drug problems Mobilise and support the development and effectiveness of the UK Recovery Movement
