4. Automated Driving Activities
Autonomous vehicles up to SAE level 3 are being tested in the Czech Republic.
An opportunity to test highly automated vehicles at D8 motorway section from Ústí nad Labem to the borders with Germany (or other motorway sections) will have been discussed by mid-2018.
Cities of Ústí nad Labem and Mladá Boleslav have already expressed their interest in autonomous vehicles testing. Both cities intend to delimit particular routes in the urban areas and equip them with relevant technology for autonomous car testing. Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic is currently considering possible means of assistance in this effort.
