Higher education :
A priority in Kazakhstan
Since the instauration of diplomatic relations between France and Kazakhstan in 1992, higher education has been a priority of cooperation
This priority has been reaffirmed as a priority by both President Nazarbayev and President Hollande during the visits of the President of France in Kazakhstan, in December 2014 and the President of Kazakhstan in Paris, in november 2015
An agreement of diploma’s recognition and a general agreement on education and scientific cooperation have been signed at the governmental level during the presidential visit 2 2

3. Higher education : A priority in Kazakhstan
Today Up to 30 funtuining activities of cooperation between French HEI's and Kazakh HEI's
Most of the cooperation involves Universities located in Almaty ( 70 %)
During the last three years, French HEI's have strated develop cooperation activities with universities in other cities of kazakhstan: Astana, Chymkent, Oskemen, Kostanai, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Taraz etc. 3 3

Exemple of the International credit mobilities Program:
Promote transnational mobility activities for students and staff between program countries (EU) and partner countries
Support the internationalisation of HEI (Higher Education Institutions)
Improve participants skills and job perspectives
Promote cooperation between the involved countries 6 6

Facts and figures :
In 2013 and 2014 : No French HEI's involved in Erasmus + programme with HEI's in Kazakhstan
But, in agreements of cooperation are signed in Astana during a forum and some more in 2015

In 2015 : 7 universities from France applied for the international mobility program, 4 of them won a project:

1. during the preparatory phase
- Nominate a project manager ( fluent in English of French) and a second person to assist him
- Develop a transparent internal communication, involving rector's office, deans of faculties, teachers and administrative staff
- Identify the needs of University, your strategy and the goals to achieve
- SLOW DOWN THE EPIDEMIA OF DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAM in Kazakhstan (It should be a long term objective! ) 11 11

2. During the implemantation phase
- Establish a fair and transparent selection process for teachers, students, academic staff
- Identify the persons (teachers and academic staffs) who could play a positive role in the development of your cooperation activities 12 12
