Scattergories Have students break into teams of 4-5
One Person from each team needs to record the group’s answers. That student should number a piece of paper from (There will be 3 rounds) How to Play: Begin each round by clicking on the letter spinner On the next slide is a list of 12 categories. Players attempt to create an answer that begins with that letter for each of the categories on the list. Articles (A/AN/The) do not fulfill the beginning letter requirement. Instead, the word following the article will be the letter that counts. For instance, if the letter was “W” and the category was “TV Shows,” The Walking Dead would count as an acceptable answer. However, the answer would be unacceptable if a “T” had been spun. Players cannot use the same answer twice in the same round. Last names can fulfill the requirement. For example “George Bush” would be acceptable as an answer for US President if a “G” or “B” was spun. Other players can challenge your answer and the group votes on whether to accept it. Extra points for alliteration. Horrible spelling aside, Krispy Kreme's could earn two points for a spun “K” in the “Breakfast Foods” category. Scoring: Groups earn one point (or two if they used alliteration) for every answer that NO OTHER GROUP had. You will want to work quietly so other teams can’t steal your answer and prevent you from getting points. At the end of the 3 rounds see which group has the most points.
