In peacetime the Hungarian Defense Forces carry out different operations in national responsibility or in accordance with our international obligations.

Here you can see all the different type of tasks divided into groups. The first column on the left shows the tasks of Peacetime in national responsibility. The second column sows the tasks in Peacetime due to international obligations. The third column depicts the national tasks in situation other than peace. The right column describes the tasks in condition of other than peace due to Article 5. of the Washington Treaty.

The JFC which includes the Hu. LF. You know in Hu. There are only two branches. LF. and AF. We have two branches, but only one command. This is the command structure and personnel strength of the Hungarian Defense Forces. You can see exist three different level. On the top, strategic level command. In this command belong the General Staff which is integrated into the Ministry of Defense.
In the middle there is the HDF Joint Force Command which is responsible for the operational command and control.
The subordinated units carry out the tactical level tasks and duties.
