The mandala is also found in the Christian religions in the form of the Crown of Thorns, Rosary, halos, Celtic Crosses, and the rose windows and Rosy Cross. These circular items bring about a deep faith from the onlookers and worshippers. They each have their own form of bringing the human being closer to God.

Carl Jung wrote: I saw that everything, all paths I had been following, all steps I had taken, were leading back to a single point -- namely, to the mid-point. It became increasingly plain to me that the mandala is the centre. It is the exponent (idea, interpretation, etc.) of all paths. It is the path to the centre, to individuation I knew that in finding the mandala as an expression of the self I had attained what was for me the ultimate.

Only gradually did I discover what the mandala really is: “Formation, Transformation, Eternal Mind’s eternal recreation.” And that is the self, the wholeness of the personality, which if all goes well is harmonious, but which cannot tolerate self-deceptions. … I had the distinct feeling that they were something central, and in time I acquired through them a living conception of the self.

Web of Life by Chief Seattle: Teach your children what we have taught our children - that the Earth is our Mother. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons and daughters of the Earth. If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves. This we know. The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth. This we know. All things are connected like the blood that unites one family. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons and daughters of the Earth. We did not weave the web of life; We are merely a strand in it. Whatever we do to the Web, We do to ourselves.
