Appearance And Weight Colour: Dark Brown And Black Size And Weight: Adult Alligator Snapping Turtles Generally Range In Carapace (Outer shell) Length From 35 To 80.8 cm and Weigh From 8.4 To 80 Kg. Males Are Typically Larger Than Females.

Behavior The males will spend their entire lives in the water most of the time. For the females they will stay in the water with the exception of when they go to shore to lay their eggs. They are usually not aggressive but they can bite if they are afraid or startled.

Name Of Species: Alligator Snapping Turtle Scientific Name: Macrochelys temminckii The alligator snapping turtle is found southeastern United States waters. They are found from the Florida Panhandle west to East Texas, north to southeastern Kansas, Missouri, southeastern Iowa, western Illinois, southern Wisconsin, southern Indiana, western Kentucky, and western Tennessee.

Life Cycle Life Cycle Starts at egg, hatches into a Baby. Baby Then Grows into a Juvenile. Next, its an adult. Finally The Adult lays eggs then cycle repeats

Unlike other turtles, these turtle are quite fast. Most Turtles Can Only Hold there for 30 minutes at max but the Alligator snapping Turtle can Hold For 1 month Without Breath.
