Enquiry Telephone call or Visit from FO and Capital Adviser To discuss proposal with main contact/key board members. Not an assessment Will provide advice on whether to submit application or not Development funding and capital mentor support

Development Phase Development funding To help applicants meet requirements for main submission. Short application form/quick turnaround Usually mainly technical costs Capital mentor support Capital Adviser will identify which organisations to refer for this

Application Strategic plan information on organisation, proposed use of asset and high level financial information Capital checklist information up to RIBA stage 2 including general viability assessment of costs, quality, timescales, statutory consents and procurement

Decision Turnaround time is 4 months If approved, two terms and conditions to meet – complete tender process and business plan Timescales will be agreed with applicant, depending on stage of development Start

Launched July 2016 Over 600 enquiries received to date c £26m worth of projects currently in pipeline Competition is strong and not all applications are expected to be funded 4 grant offers made to date Average grant size c£612k

9 Community Assets - progress to date
Initial peak of enquiries has now steadied Projects visited so far are at various stages of development – from early ‘ideas’ stage through to more technically developed. Capital mentors appointments well received Early engagement before awards working better for capital team and applicants
