2. Audience
Target group for viewing something (paper, speech, commercial, book, movie etc) target group of a speech, an ad, a paper/ who the information is directed to/ word choice and examples need to be considered for audience for appropriateness

3. Character Development
How a character grows and changes throughout a story.

4. Citation
Reference to a source

5. Dialect
Pattern of speech from certain region or time period

6. Dramatic Irony
When the audience knows something that the character doesn’t

7. Gerunds
An –ing word used as a noun or the subject of a sentence

8. Infinitive
to + verb

9. Mediums
Different formats for sharing information (commercials, internet, textbooks, radio, etc)

Put ideas into your own words

An –ing word being used as an adjective

The events that make up a story

Making judgments about people or things based on characteristics that are true for some

Building of tension in a story causing the reader to wonder what will happen next

One sentence that explains what an entire paper will be about

20. Verbal Irony
When a character says the opposite of what they feel.

how the audience interprets the information presented- differs per person based on interest, knowledge, etc.
