1 Mrs. Hake’s Friday,Nov. 3rd edition CLASSROOM news Week in Review: Sneak Preview This week our letters were G and E. We are really moving along in our letter studies! We also learned all about the four seasons. We created pictures of each season. We wrote what season we like best to make into a class book. Many of our center activities focused on seasons such as sorting clothes by seasons and matching pictures of weather to the correct season. We loved making leaf pictures, trying a wind experiment, and of course our Halloween party! Thanks to all who helped and donated. Theme for the Week: Pirates Letters of the Week: Ll and Kk Science/Social Studies: position words Math: Numbers Rainbow Words: had/in Remember: Show and Tell on Friday bring in an item that begins with one of our letters. Upcoming Events: . Fall Fun! Count leaves you have raked before you jump in! Sort leaves by color, size, type. Discuss shapes when looking at leaves. Take advantage of any nice days and play outside – work on skipping! Use sidewalk chalk to write rainbow words and numbers Tuesday, November 7th – Parent Teacher Conferences . You received a paper with your child’s username and password for our new grade book program. You will have online access to your child’s grade card. The grade cards will not be printed and sent home. If by chance you have misplaced the paper or need assistance viewing your child’s grade card please reach out to Jim Sagona. Here is his address Please use this report card as a way to help guide your practice with your child. Any questions about the report card can be addressed at our upcoming conference. Write numbers. We have introduced 1-7, Play “I Spy” in the car look for numbers and discuss place value. Pattern with leaves, food, colors… Cutting: practice cutting out different shapes and saying what the shape is.
