May 2000 doc.: IEEE /109r0 May 2000 Project: IEEE P Working Group for Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) Submission Title: WPAN Requirements for Spontaneous Hidden Computing Date Submitted: [9, May 2000] Source: [Reto J Hermann] Company [IBM Zurich Research Lab] Address [Säumerstrasse 4, CH-8803 Rüschlikon, SWITZERLAN ] Voice:[[ ], FAX: [ ], Re: [This is a response to the “IEEE P WPAN High Rate Study Group Second Call for Applications & Proposal”, IEEE P /164r3.] Abstract: [This document introduces spontaneous hidden computing as an emerging computing paradigm. Based on a few usage scenarios, it discusses the characteristics of spontaneous hidden computing and relates them to the technical criteria as described in “High Rate Selection Criteria for CFA/CFP”, IEEE P /007r4.] Purpose: [The intention of this document is to establish spontaneous hidden computing as an important application paradigm to be supported by the WPAN technology developed under the auspices of IEEE P HRSG and to bring out crucial design points and technical criteria as they relate to spontaneous hidden computing.] Notice: This document has been prepared to assist the IEEE P It is offered as a basis for discussion and is not binding on the contributing individual(s) or organization(s).
