Cutaneous effects of Pseudomonas sepsis Sepsis caused by Ps aeruginosa occurs most commonly in the child with an underlying illness. It is seen in children with immune deficiency due to cancer chemotherapy, in those with malnutrition, and in those with extensive burns. Some of the less specific cutaneous manifestations, specifically erythematous macules and petechiae, are shown in Fig Pseudomonas sepsis may also present with discrete small nodules and bullae.
