Methods for handing down technical information will have to be studied to restore and preserve historic building for the future generation
Effective method for understanding complex structure and it’s assembling procedure is discussed
Restoration procedure of the historic building is analyzed using the Kintai Bridge rebuilding work

3. Methods Model Production 3D CAD Analysis
・1/10 model；modeling accuracy of detail structural components
・Design information; mortise and tenon
・Help to understand invisible part after completion and to check member configuration
・CAD data ; recording distinctive structural details
・Each process of assembling state can be traced by 3D CAD data
・Effective method for communicating technical information of complex structure

4. Results
Importance on communicating detail techniques related to all construction phase is pointed out
Transmission of the record by visualization is an effective way to help the understanding of the parties
Adoption of graphical information data is an effective method to communicate for restoration and preservation of cultural properties
