Never knew her father
Although she once thought Clark Gable was her father
However, there is no evidence that Gable ever met or even knew her mother

Marilyn said one of her earliest memories was of her grandmother trying to smother her in her crib with a pillow
Both her grandmother and mother had psychiatric problems
At age 9, her mother was placed in a mental institution.
Spent most her time in foster care and in orphanages.

Jimmy returns4 years later and finds Marilyn was a successful model.
They will divorce in 1946.

Soon, she would become one of Hollywood’s most famous actresses and sex symbols.
