1. Every student should be exposed to HIGH quality music education regardless of social - economic status, race, or sex.
2. Even while a music organization (school or department) is in the growth process and casting a ”wide net” for exposure to music, there will be some students that will excel in music studies and performance.
3.The next generation of arts leaders (musicians) will come from our training.
4.Our schools should be evaluated not only be the number of students that we reach but also by the quality of music students that we train.
5. Student and organizations will have to partner and collaborate in order to create the highest quality music student.

3. UNDERSTANDING SUCCESS
How do we know when our organization is successful.
A. When we are fully funded?
B. when we have reached a certain number of students in which we have direct or indirect contact?
C. We met or exceed Chicago Public School or NAfME Curriculum Standards ?
D. When we have the facilities in order promote artistic and cognitive learning?
E. When our students demonstrate an extremely high level of artistic, intellectual, and personal mastery; student will be prepared to embark on successful careers and productive lives as artists and touring musical professionals within the US and abroad, as well as leaders in their professions.

8. Conclusion
The success of our music programs and organizations is contingent on the success of its students. Yes, funding, facilities, and size of student population is important, but ultimately, we, as a music organizations are charged with creating the next generation of artistic musical leaders. We can ”hang our hats” on our students who have graduated from our programs in order to make a difference in the art world through their expression and training.
Our successful students should be able to:
