1 Step by step guide to music video (3mins)
Ceelo green by music to my soul By Carla binder

2 Music video poster

3 #1 First of all I had to open up the programme, I used Adobe premiere pro, this is the main software you use to edit through the Adobe collection. #2 Once opened you will have to click on to file then new project. This will come up with a box which is where you will name this and save it to the specified location within your hardrive. then should open up something like this -

4 #3 Then it should come up with a image like this on to your screen , this is the software its self.
#4 As well as having to import the footage into this software , I went to file- import then should come up with the folder-highlight footage – click import.

5 #5 Now I have imported –footage should be in a section called project: (FILENAME)
#6 Drag clips wanted to the timeline it is set out in different layers like you have in Adobe Photoshop too, for example V1 is the main section to put in all of the main footage that you don’t want to use for overlapping. The same as A1 which is for audio rather than v1 is for videos.

6 #7 Thing I had done was to add the text for the beginning the reason for this is by so then many know what they are watching. By doing this you will need to click onto title-new-then still then it should come up with a box like this –I have already typed something in. #8 After click the X then should appear at the bottom the file where the other footage is in the software (premiere pro) #9 Drag this on top of the other clip you want so for example on v2

7 #10 I added in my second piece of footage and I only had to crop
#11 For my third I had used it twice to create a reversed effect with the tear as well as slowing it down to #12 Click on video that is in timeline – clip-duration/speed-reverse-change percentage if want to the higher the percentage the fast the duration will speed up.

8 #13 Then added next shot had slowed the pace down of duration which was girl looking out to the sunset #14 Shot of sunset – sped it up through having to film 22 mins worth then speed up which equalizes to a time-lapse and reversed to the ending of the film to the start.

9 #15Added in replica/ similarity to a breaking news report – with adding in title but used crawl instead of still to make this look more realistic. Including a voice over with having the music in the background by adding in audio transitions. How to get the effect – Effect s (section of where footage is placed) – audio transitions – constant power (added to each end of the voice over) #16 Used sound bars to where you can make the music louder than the voice over or the other way around.

10 #17 Then within the same shot I had added two pictures of the girl one which shows her age when she died and another one when she was younger. Used a effect on both through going to effects – transition effects – control image-black and white drag and drop on top of sections for me my images you can also use this within video too if wanted. #18 Added in two other pieces of footage however I didn’t add any effects to this all I had to do was crop these two scenes so then they could fit into their slot within the timeline.

11 #19 The next piece of footage I had used was when the girl was younger , the scene is the girl on a carousel . However I did slow down the duration of the shot and added in the black and white through the same process as I have said on the previously on the last slide. #20 After that shot I had added another memory through when she was younger (4/5) with all of her family and used the black and white effect again with the use of the black and white it separates the past and present by using black and white.

12 #21 This shot focuses on the happiness of life with the girl spinning around in slow motion by decreasing the duration it had given the shot a benefit of making it reasonable dramatic . Which also goes with the slow rhythm the song had when this section was playing. #22 The next scene is of the sunset and only zooming into it once you have played the music video ,it is used to go with the beat but it is a very quick shot.

13 #23 The black and white is used again as well as a lower percentage of the speed of the video.
This shows another memory with her dog and her smiling the irony is that she had died in that same location of where this was shot. #24 The audio-visual shows the girl walking towards the sun , which creates a shadow image through the lens of the camera I have included a effect to go on to of the footage through going to : Effects – video effects lens flare – Drag and drop onto multimedia object wanted.

14 #25 image shows of girl throwing leaves a crossed body then reverses through adding the same image after and reverse it which will look like, the leaves had come up on there own.

15 #26 Used ghost effect on to this
How I had done the ghost effect Film without character in the shot but same angle Then film girl in the shot but walking backwards (through this when reversing clip the clothes with move oddly) Put first clip on to v1 then the second on the v2 Reverse the second clip Change the opacity through – click on video on timeline – effect controls (nears effects) – opacity – change it through changing the percentage until it is see through enough. This is based on walking through graveyard gate.

16 #27 had used ghost effect on this one
#27 had used ghost effect on this one. However, this location was set using inside of the graveyard when character walking past gravestone. I also had made the ending look like she is almost a hologram effect when the character disappears. I had used the razor tool and had zoomed into the timeline so then it would have more gaps into the cutting to make it look like she is fading away.

17 #28 And then finally I had used the ending which showcases six of my favourite shots with also having to add the title into this too. I had used the ghost effect Slowing down Speeding up duration – time lapse Zoomed in and out Used free transform on all of videos.
