7. Last week I heard that a man with Downs syndrome was shouted at and abusive comments made to him by pupils at a secondary school in Tower Hamlets.
I hope by learning about inclusion in our assemblies you will never do this.

10. Sometime it is hard to show how a person is feeling because they find it hard to express it or cannot express how they feel.
But everyone has feelings, so we need to be sensitive in our comments and body language.

He is 10 years old and
talks with his eyes.
Jonathan describes how it was like being stuck in reception class because he could not speak. He could understand everything and began communicating with is eyes using his communication board. He writes a blog.

You can
Not so helpful
Learn about others (their religion, needs, their traditions)
Be friendly
Be curious and interested in others
If you are confident tell others they are not being respectful
Talk to a teacher if you’re not sure about others.
Staring
Pointing
Whispering
Gossiping
Saying things about others that you think are true, but really they are not.
