What does inclusion mean?
It comes form the word include. It’s about diversity and belonging. Cartoon.

What’s the opposite of inclusion?
Exclusion. From the word excluded.

Last week I heard that a man with Downs syndrome was shouted at and abusive comments made to him by pupils at a secondary school in Tower Hamlets. I hope by learning about inclusion in our assemblies you will never do this.

Sometime it is hard to show how a person is feeling because they find it hard to express it or cannot express how they feel. But everyone has feelings, so we need to be sensitive in our comments and body language.

How do we show an inclusive attitude?
You can Not so helpful Learn about others (their religion, needs, their traditions) Be friendly Be curious and interested in others If you are confident tell others they are not being respectful Talk to a teacher if you’re not sure about others. Staring Pointing Whispering Gossiping Saying things about others that you think are true, but really they are not.
