The Jewish Committee on Scouting of Suffolk County Council (BSA) Annual **CONCLAVE** “Emergency Preparedness” Who we are and what we do: As volunteers in the Boy Scouts of America in the, we are a part of the Religious Relationships Division of Scouting. Scouts of all faiths are encouraged to earn their religious emblems, and in the Jewish faith, this includes the Maccabbee, Aleph, Ner Tamid, Etz Chaim and Talmud Torah Award (Has earned all 4 Emblems) for the Boy Scouts, Ships, Venturers and Explorers. The programs that we sponsor include: the Scout Shabbat Services (hosted by various temples throughout the council), a Judaic-themed Conclave family camping weekend, an Awards Breakfast for Recognition of emblem recipients, adult recognition and fellowship, Certificates of Recognition for Boy Scouts making the rank of Eagle, Sea Scouts’ for making the rank of Quartermaster, and Girl Scout Gold Awards. CONCLAVE DATE: FRIDAY, JUNE 1 THRU SUNDAY, JUNE 3, Start arriving at 6 PM. Baiting Hollow Boy Scout Camp Cost $45 per person (Ask about our group rates!) If paid before May 18, the price drops to $38 PP. DISCOUNTS: Family 3+=5%; 20+ = 10%; 30+ = 15% Scouts, Scouters, families and guests are welcome to join us. Price includes campsites, all food, commemorative patch and all activities except the climbing wall (a $5 additional fee paid directly to the camp. Our trading post has: Patches, Mugs, Kippahs, Coins, Walking Sticks and much more. ACTIVITIES: Medford Ambulance and Fire Depts; CPR/AED/First Aid Classes; Civil Air Patrol; SCPD; CERT; Ham Radio; and many more emergency related groups.
