3 Thank you all so much for joining us for today’s breakfast briefing
Thank you all so much for joining us for today’s breakfast briefing. We’re going to take minutes to present some background on Fund for Shared Insight and Listen for Good, and then we’ll open it up for Q&A. The main focus of today’s briefing will be the importance of listening to the people we seek to help… So I want to start there. We often collect data about the people we seek to help to learn how they are doing, but we rarely as a field engage them in getting systematic feedback -- from their perspective -- about the degree to which we are meeting their needs, additional resources they may need, and their insights on improvements that could make their experience higher quality. This is what we mean when we refer to constituent (or beneficiary) feedback -- the systematic listening (and responding to) those receiving services about what is working and not working from their perspective.

4 FUNDING PARTNERS Core Funders Sidecar Funders
Fund for Shared Insight is a funder collaborative led by a diverse group of eight funders who came together to focus on increasing openness in philanthropy, and especially on listening to the people we ultimately seek to help. Since our launch in July 2014, the momentum around Shared Insight has grown at an inspiring rate. Today we have upwards of 67 funding partners and have expanded the number of grantees working on feedback practice, research and openness to over 130 nonprofit partners.  Sidecar Funders
