Title Instructor and/or Author Information Course Background This section generally introduces the course, including information such as topics covered in class, how often it is taught, the number of students typically enrolled, and some background information on how the course was taught in previous semesters. Examples of Activities or Transformed Course Components This section can be used to highlight one or more components of the course that were transformed. For example, if new assignments were incorporated into the class, photos of the students in action, results of their work, etc. could be showcased. Samples of demos or online activities are also popular choices to highlight. Student Learning This section can be used to highlight measures of student learning as a result of the transformation efforts. For example, exam grades post transformation compared to exam grades pre transformation, homework grades or grades on worksheets, etc. In addition, reflections and/or feedback from students, such as results of end of semester evaluations, quotes from students regarding the course or particular assignments, suggestions for future changes, can also be highlighted here. Outline of Changes Made/Motivation for Changes/Transformation Goals This section usually flow from the course background and describes the particular changes that were applied to the course, as well as the motivation for why those particular changes were included. Transformation goals can be included here as well. Instructor Reflections This section provides an opportunity for the instructor to provide personal reflections of the course transformation efforts. These cover topics such as the ideas for future transformation to also incorporate based on initial results, student attitudes towards the instructor, student success or struggles with transformed components of the course, etc.
