Sigma Corporation has been in business since We started in a small office in Edison, NJ, manufacturing and selling Municipal Construction Castings (manholes, frames, grates) and have grown into the second largest supplier of AWWA fittings and accessories in North America. We currently have 14 warehouse facilities strategically located to best serve our customers, with often same day delivery service.
Over the years we have grown our product portfolio beyond municipal castings and ductile iron fittings to include a complete range of joint restraint products for both PVC and ductile iron pipe.
Sigma is recognized as a national supplier of pipe restraints. We have added key accessory products that can be delivered to jobsites with fittings and restraints to better serve our customers, making it easier to get more products from a single source.
And through the years, we have been able to establish a strong reputation for consistent, accurate customer service while delivering quality products to the Waterworks industry.
Purpose of Sloping
U.S. Market influenced by sloping systems. Must achieve 100’ LF of continuous slope.
ACO- Slopes 40 Channels
ABT- Slopes 30 Channels (Not including Trenchformer)
Zurn- Slopes 15 channels = 100’ LF (Z886)
Polycast- Slopes 25 Channels
Hydrotec- Sloped 10 Channels

Sloping System
New System encompasses the TOP100 and MAXI100 Only.
Shipping channels and grates separate.
Helps drive your customer to stock Hydrotec with the pieces they need.
Sloping: Each channel starts and ends at a different height. Example one side starts at 4” deep and the opposite side ends at 4.5” deep.
Neutral: Each channel starts and ends at the same depth. Neutral channels are commonly used to extend a run of trench drain. While you slope 10 channels insert a group of neutrals and then slope another 10 channels and repeat again.

- Note: Inline catch basin represents that the basin is the same width as the channel.

5. Build a New Part Number Component
All TOP and MAXI100 Channel part numbers will now end with a “C”. The “C” at the end calls attention to the part being a channel.
For Example: The # 25 channel in the slope for TOP100: CHG C
All TOP and MAXI100 Grate part numbers will now end in a “G”. The “G” at the end calls attention to the part being a grate.
For Example: The Galvanized Class C Grate for the TOP100: CHG G
Other items ALWAYS needed:
Locking Rods - CHG (These are the small plastic composite pieces that lock the grate into the channel)

6. Understand the New Price List:
Total of 6 Tabs in Excel Format.
Columns provide: Part #, Slope # (If blank, there is no slope to that part), Channel Length, Inlet/Outlet Depths, Load Class the Grate Handles, Your List Price.
Please continue to use your standard multipliers off of list.
Below the sloped channels section there is an assembled part number list. This is to signify if the customer would like the channel and grate assembled.
Pricing is now higher if the customer would like the channels and grates assembled.
Always remember: You need channels, grates, locking rods and end caps.
Under Accessories tab is where you will find end caps, locking tool, adapters etc.

7. TOP100 Part Numbering- What You Need to Know:
1 Channel
If Ductile Iron Grate- 2 Grates per channel.
If Galvanized- (1) Grate
Locking Rods- (2) whether it is a ductile or galvanized grate.
Example: A trench run of 10’ LF TOP100 Ductile Grate Class C:
Channels: CHG C, 02C, 03C, 04C, 05C, 06C, 07C, 08C, 09C, 10C
10 Channels X 2 Ductile Grates Each= (20) CHG G
10 Channels X 2 Locking Rods Each= (2) CHG

8. MAXI100 Part Numbering- What You Need to Know
1 Channel
What grate is needed Class C, D, F- (2) Per channel- Unless half channel is used then (1P) Grate.
Locking Rods- (4) Per channel
Example: A trench run of 10’ LF MAXI100 Class D
Channels: CHG C, 02C, 03C, 04C, 05C, 06C, 07C, 08C, 09C, 10C
10 Channels X 2 Grates Each= (20) CHG G
10 Channels X 4 Locking Rods= (40) CHG

9. Timing and Warehousing
TOP100: Arrived completed in CRM 7/5/16 Needs to be sold!
Maxi100: To leave Hydrotec/Germany on 7/20/16 and will arrive in CRM within 2-3 Weeks.
Warehousing: Hydrotec inventory will now be held in CRM, ONT and at a consignment warehouse in Tampa, FL.
