2 CHAPTER OVERVIEW 2016 – Chapter of Excellence Award for Membership from HR Florida Council 2015 Membership growth of 25.74% 2016 Membership growth to date 19.69% Transitioned to a 100% Chapter this year

5 PROACTIVE OUTREACH & ADDED VALUE
Increase members that were SHRM members: Sent letters to At-large list for last three years – included an invite to attend a specific monthly meeting for free, a special discount on annual dues, invites to other events such as a Chapter party at HR Florida conference Educated our membership on benefits and resources of SHRM membership by monthly presentations highlighting different aspects of SHRM membership, made it part of our “trade show” which precedes our monthly meeting and included engaging games and activities

6 PROACTIVE OUTREACH & ADDED VALUE
Elevated our programming offerings, and paying attention to the topics our members want Changed our meetings to alternate between breakfast and dinner Value-Added Membership Started Mastermind Groups Free LinkedIn training which included a head shot Half Day strategic business and HR seminar Supervisors Conference Increased our certification scholarships

7 100% CHAPTER PLANNING & TRANSITION
Educated members on what it means to be a 100% Chapter, sent s, discussed it at meetings, created a FAQ, and gave them the opportunity to ask questions Board approved providing financial assistance to members whose companies did not provide SHRM membership – they would be expected to volunteer time to the chapter Board members personally reached out to those without SHRM membership prior to our vote to transition By the time we voted to transition, our affiliation rate was 91.1%
