Why did I pick this study?
I like to run here and there in my free time--and the author of the study caught my eye.

Wearing different shoe types (barefoot, minimal, or traditional) effects the efficiency of distance runners Other alternative hypothesis: Different foot strikes varies the efficiency of running

Prior Knowledge: VO2 max--maximal oxygen consumption
Perceived extertion--a way of measuring physical activity intensity level. How hard you feel like your body is working.

How was this study conducted?

The null hypothesis was correct!
In conclusion, no foot strike had an advantage over the other. The same as of running shoes, no major advantage.
