1 Join Our Club 2014/15

2 Background - The FA Join Our Club Programme is delivered across England by County Football Associations to engage young females into football from a school setting, with the aim to transfer them into a community club environment. The programme is designed to build sustainable partnerships between schools and Charter Standard Clubs to increase the number of young female players accessing quality opportunities, leading to the long-term objective of generating additional teams within a Charter Standard Club setting. There are a number of outcomes from the Join Our Club Programme outlined below: Growing and Retaining Teams - the Join Our Club Programme will lead to an increase in the number of teams being generated within a club setting. By ensuring the player’s initial experience is positive, well supported and delivered to a consistently high standard, this will influence their long-term retention within the female game. Raising Standards – by ensuring all Join Our Club Programmes are linked to Charter Standard Clubs, this will certify minimum standards are in place from a coaching, child protection and health and safety context, thus leading to a positive playing experience. All Charter Standard clubs have agreed to support the Respect Programme, meaning high standards will be adhered to, to enhance the quality of delivery throughout the Join Our Club Programme.
