Once Upon a time.. Red Class Summer Communication and Language
Please encourage your child to read each day Red Class Summer Ensuring children are using their manners, remembering to say please and thank you! Using our imaginations What would I like to find at the top of a beanstalk? How do stories start? Looking at alternatives ways to start our stories. Children will write invitations to the Red Class Ball. Run, Run as fast as you can you can’t catch me I am the Gingerbread man! Making and decorating gingerbread men- looking at cooking changes. Design your own comic strip. Seasonal changes Communication and Language Literacy Phonics, So that’s how it sounds! I can blend! Using our sounds to write captions and sentences about our favourite characters. Using flip videos and iPads to explore apps to support our fairy tales topics and making our own stories through animations. Party Planners creating own menus, costumes and decorations. Once Upon a time.. Understanding the World Physical Development Continuing developing fine motor skills through peg dancing, dough, painting etc. Growing, Growing, Growing Learning about plants and their parts. Growing our own sunflowers and beanstalks. Children will be working together to grow a variety of plants in our outdoor area. Strictly Come dancing! We will be holding our own Royal ball! Keep it a secret as the queen will send us a personal letter. RE Maths God’s wonderful World SEAL Good to be me,’’ understanding our feelings & those of others.
