1 UV Startup Procedure

2 Enabling the On Signal to the UV Electrical Cabinet
To start the UV system, enable the On signal to the UV electrical cabinet. The On signal is automatically enabled when the machine is turned On. Confidential

3 Cooler fans, pump and extraction fan start working automatically.
Cooling On The Cooling On process starts upon enabling the “UV On” signal to the UV electrical cabinet. During this process: Cooler fans, pump and extraction fan start working automatically. The Cooling On message appears and timer T1 is incremented from 0 seconds to 2 minutes. The Extractor fan is controlled by a frequency inverter (A7 in the UV electrical cabinet), which will start at 60Hz (full speed). Confidential

5 After the Cooling On is complete: The UV lamp starts working.
Lamp Started After the Cooling On is complete: The UV lamp starts working. The extraction fan reduces its speed to 11Hz and the PLC will monitor the lamp current during the " Burn-in" stage. Once the current reaches a pre-set level (about 80A), the UV lamp switches to standby power. UV Ready signal is sent to the machine. Confidential

8 UV lamp now runs at standby power (30%) with the shutters closed.
Lamp Ready UV lamp now runs at standby power (30%) with the shutters closed. The extraction fan remains at reduced speed (11Hz). The lamp current is displayed (40A). UV lamp hours are now displayed. Confidential
