Brainstorm & Select Idea Food Sale Raffles Other Sales Can Drive Punishment Decide how much money your group needs for some product or some event This will help you determine your budget for supplies Keep in mind to do a few and do them well. Don’t want to be asking people for money all the time. Fewer you do, the better they’ll be Do people want what is being offered?! Food (bake, cultural, resell donated food from restaurant, late night food delivery) Raffles (50/50, baskets, service) Sale (old supplies/gear, service, skills/talent)

BFC Reviews Budget Requests February 11-17 BFC meets individually with every club February 17-22 BFC prepares Recommendation Report February 27 BFC presents its report at SGA March 6 SGA Senate votes on BFC report

9 What is BFC? Budget Finance Committee
Is a committee open to all students on campus Help clubs spend their budget Help clubs with ideas on how to get funds through the Supplemental Budget or fundraising Creates the club budgets for the following fiscal year

10 What BFC Looks for What is the money for? What is the club doing?
How you are planning to do campus outreach What is the club doing? How many members does the club have What on or off campus activities has the club done Has the club done fundraising How is the club getting their name out there

You don’t need to use all of the categories The SGA office has supplies that can be used by anyone Plan for fundraisers New clubs must have been active for at least a year before they may request a budget
