2 Here's my definition:  A brand is the set of expectations, memories, stories and relationships that, taken together, account for a persons perception of a product, group, etc.

3 So What is Your Brand? It’s your promise. The promise you make to everyone who comes in contact with your organization, letting them know what to expect from you. Your promise never changes, regardless of changes in the marketplace, or public perception, or changes to your product lines, or a new service offering. The promise remains at the core of your organization, and defines who you are. That is your brand.

4 So What is Your Brand? Write down your brand messaging.
Write down your brand messaging.  Integrate your brand.  Be true to your brand.  Be consistent.  Know Your Mission Your mission should clearly articulate why your organization exists in 5-7 sentences. Keep this mission in mind when you plan events and have meetings. Your brand has to be genuine, and well articulated. The people inside your organization –at all levels – have to understand it and agree with it and most importantly, live it. So how does this happen? It happens through what we call the “organizational brand.”

5 Helpful Tips Create Annual Events
Annual events gives the student body something to look forward to and be excited about. They are great ways to engage students within your organization as well as bringing in new members. Talking About Your Organization Always be open to talking about your organization with others. If you think your organization is so great, you should be able to tell others.

6 Logo 411 Get a great logo.  Create a "voice" for your organization that reflects your brand. Develop a tagline.  Logo Placement Invest the time in creating a lasting logo that you can place on everything that your organization produces so it can be easily recognized and understood. Be sure that your design is clear and eye-catching. Design templates and create brand standards for your marketing materials.
