1. The freezer system is unorganized
2. Difficulties in finding product
3. Too many products; Too little space

3. Current System Three freezers with no organization
Products with multiple locations
Long training period for new employees
Existing racks and aisles are unsafe

4. Action Steps Learned about UW Provisions inventory
Found top 100 products = 63% of sales by weight
Organized top 100 products by product type
Found four major categories: Beef, Pork, Chicken, and Turkey
Reorganized layout of Freezer 5

5. Proposed System Three freezers with organization by product type
Products have one functional location
Color coded racks by product type
Replace some racks and increase aisle widths

6. Next Steps Find top 200 products by weight and by total # of invoices
Determine best storage locations for each freezer
Present steps for implementation of design

7. Conclusion Simple solution Better use of existing space
New system is easier to learn
