The purpose of the work: the formation of ZnO nanorods via low-temperature hydrothermal synthesis on seed layers obtained by spin-coating, magnetron sputtering and SILAR methods. Hydrothermal synthesis: mole/l HМТА, mole/l Zn(NO3)2∙6H2O. [Zn(OH)4]2⁻ ↔ ZnO + H2O + 2OH⁻ Zn2⁺ + 2OH⁻ ↔ Zn(OH)2 Zn(OH)2 ↔ ZnOSOLID + H2O Zn2⁺ + OH⁻ ↔ [Zn(OH)]⁺ Zn2⁺ + 3OH⁻ ↔ [Zn(OH)3]⁻ Zn2⁺ + 4OH⁻ ↔ [Zn(OH)4]2⁻ Zn2⁺ + 2OH⁻ ↔ ZnO + H2O ZnO nanorods with added L-Cys Surfactants Concentration PVP 0.5 mg/100 ml PEI 0.2 ml/100 ml L-Cys 2.3 mg/100 ml LSL Na 4.2 mg/100 ml Spin-coating (SC): 5mM solution Zn(CH3COO)2 in C3H7OH. Vol.12. №2.2010 AFM of SILAR ZnO seed layers: the phase and the topography ZnO nanorods grown with addition L-Cys Conclusion: Arrays of ZnO nanorods were formed on the sublayers obtained by spin-coating, SILAR and magnetron sputtering methods. Spin-coating and magnetron sputtering methods allow obtaining thin films with high homogeneity of the crystallites. The optimal concentrations for the formation of ZnO nanorods with an aspect ratio X= were defined.
