Advanced Automation Tasks
setting markers in cuts working with macros to “program” Rivendell e.g., switching, EAS tests, etc. voice tracking sending “now playing” data “advanced” == more than just “ID3” tags audio chain controller: many stations put RD in the audio chain task scheduler: not unlike generic task sceduler, but automation-specific last but not least, reports: traffic, billing, compliance, etc.
3
Cut Markers Cut start and end are completely independent
Cut End Talk Start Talk End Segue Start Segue End Fade Up Fade Down Trim Start Trim End Stored in the Rivendell database with each cut. Used to control HOW Rivendell plays the cut. Cut start and end are completely independent Talk/Segue are “connected” Trim Start & End are supposed to allow for automatically setting Cut Start & End. You need to play with this to get it working, I just manually set Cut Start & End Hook Start & End, and Fade Up & Fade Down – not really used, but experiment and see if they're helpful.
