8th GRADE US II Overview WELCOME BACK!
2
HOW DOES 8TH GRADE CHANGE FROM 7TH GRADE?
There will be more reading then last year. We will use excerpts from the online textbook “American YAWP” and certain chapters from Zinn’s A People’s History. I will attempt to do more things on Google classroom (including test) You will have more writing to do. Test will be slightly harder. We will do a lot more research. My goal for you is to be fully prepared for advanced high school classes. Remember 8th grade matters! Your first and second quarter grades could mean the difference between going to the high school of your choosing.

What are my expectations of you?
Be prepared for every class! Last year we were not successful at this. Be respectful to me and your peers. Hand everything in on time. I will attempt to put more assignments online so there is no excuse for losing paper. Be ready to talk! Try your best. You must set the the example for the rest of the school!!!
