5. The Concept of Environmental Governance
refers to the sum of:
organizations,
policy instruments,
financing mechanisms,
rules,
procedures and norms
that regulate the processes of global environmental protection.
(Najam, Papa et al. 2006:9)

6. The Actor-network Theory (ANT)
a concern with how actors and organizations mobilize, juxtapose and hold together the bits and pieces out of which they are composed;
how they are sometimes able to prevent those bits and pieces from following their own inclinations;
and how they manage to turn a network from a heterogeneous set of bits and pieces each with its own inclinations, into something that passes as a punctualized actor.

7. The “Community of Practice Theory (CoP)
Communities of practice are groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they interact regularly (Wenger 2006).
Professional associations are establishing because people are seeking to get and share knowledge, and building a communication networks with others who are working in the same field. People participate on a voluntary basis and for their own interest
