Ad-hoc Transportation test of «CLIC module»
M. Aicheler
2
Those two girders to be transported into storage area in Building 162
=> ad-hoc Transportation-Test
3
AS simple mockup Plain material, no inner geometry Brazed (for material state compareable to CLIC AS) and very cheap to manufacture Core diametre 80mm Manifolds 40mm x 40mm Roughly same weight and similar mechanical properties Will be reused for tests with new supports!
4
MB Girder AS Vibration logger Fiducial Clamping of AS to girder as in CDR/CLEX
5
Steps: Installation, clamping, on site-fiducialisitation, installation of vibration logger in Build 18 Transport by manual crane onto palette Transport of pallet with manual lifter Transport of pallet with truck Transport of pallet with hall crane to final position Final on site (build 162) survey and evaluation of vibration logger If we want, we can make an intermediate survey at any point with the laser tracker (e.g. after transport with truck) Overall time estimation for test (including fiducialisation and final survey): 2 days
6
Targeted outcome: Open questions:
Evaluate the loss in position precision during a transportation test with the CDR design of support and clamping Assess the typical spectrum of vibration/shock exposure of a CLIC girder during various transportation steps for future support design Open questions: Transport in a box? Clamping details Details on manufacturing of simple AS mockup
