Brightness Sensor Interface HS/S 4.2.1 Overview
Application The Brightness Sensor Interface is used in combination with the Outside Brightness Sensor LFO/A 1.1. It measures the brightness of the daylight. It can also be used as a twilight sensor. replaced by ABB HS/S 3.1 HS/S 4.2.1 STO/G – Slide 2

Brightness Sensor Interface HS/S 4.2.1 Functions and Benefits
Very wide sensor range: 1 lx to lx, can thus also be used as a twilight sensor Up to 3 Outside Brightness Sensors LFO/A can be connected to the HS/S One LFO/A is included with the HS/S The Outside Brightess Sensors can be evaluated separately or in common (maximum value). Manual operation with backlighted display and text oriented user menu (6 languages: DE, EN, FR, ES, IT, NL) Extensive evaluation functions of the sensor values: threshold channels for switching - 4 universal threshold channels - 6 universal logic channels (AND, OR, XOR) LFO/A 1.1 ABB HS/S 4.2.1 STO/G – Slide 3

Brightness Sensor Interface HS/S 4.2.1 Hardware Design
Connection of 3x Outside Brightness Sensor LFO/A Width: 3 modules Worldwide operating voltage range: V, 50/60 Hz New: Manual operation on the device (e.g. for setting the threshold values) Up to 3 LFO/A can be connected (addressable) Note: Mains voltage is necessary (for the supply of the LFO/A’s) ABB Backlighted Display Mains voltage STO/G – Slide 4
