6. Open Access policy
CERN rules say you should submit your documents to CDS (O.C. no.6). If not, even CERN staff might not have access to your publications
50 years old CERN reports can still not be scanned because the publisher owns the copyright…
Self-archive your articles (preprints/conference submissions etc) in CDS
Use the submit button and “CERN Open Document” for most of your submissions
The LHC-era will see a publishing reform
