Men may neglect salvation from sins or they may show lack of concern about their eternal salvation
Salvation is so important that it dare not be neglected “Neglect” indicates a lack of sufficient attention “Neglect” is not rebellion, but indifference
5
Salvation Has Been Spoken
One must hear and learn from the Lord He has the words (Jn. 6:68) He wants us to know what to do (1 Tim. 2:4) Man must receive the word to be saved (James 1:21) This message spoken by the Lord (Heb. 2:4) It was confirmed through the apostles (Mk. 16:20)
6
What Are The Dangers Of Neglect?
The danger of being hardened by sin (Heb. 3:12-13) The danger of the judgment day (Heb. 9:27) The danger of the wrath of God (Heb. 10:26-31)
7
Why Do Men Neglect Salvation?
The deceitful nature of sin (Prov. 20:17) The illusion that there is plenty of time (James 4:13-14) Some look for a convenient season (Acts 24:25) Some are “burdened” with the cares of the world (Matt. 13:22) The fantasy that God will make an exception in their case (Rom. 2:11)
8
(Heb 2:1) For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it (2 Co 6:2) for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you. Behold, now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation”
