Māori medium education includes all Māori language in education pathways that sit within immersion levels 1 and 2
Māori language in English medium provision includes all pathways that are not included in the general definition of Māori medium education, and sits within levels 3 to 5 of the Māori language immersion levels
Te Marautanga o Aotearoa was developed to support teaching and learning for students enrolled in Levels 1 and 2 immersion programmes
