What does it mean to Minister ?
Exo 24:13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
Exo 28:1 And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.
1Sam 2:18 But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.
In the Hebrew and the Greek the word Minister has a few meanings:
H334: to attend as a menial or worshipper; figuratively to contribute to: - minister (unto), (do) serve (- ant, -ice, -itor), wait on.
H3547: meaning to mediate in religious services; to officiate as a priest; figuratively to put on regalia (religious clothing):
G1247: to be an attendant, that is, wait upon (menially or as a host, friend or [figuratively] teacher); technically to act as a Christian deacon: - (ad-) minister (unto), serve, use the office of a deacon.
G1249: an attendant, that is, (generally) a waiter (at table or in other menial duties); specifically a Christian teacher and pastor (technically a deacon or deaconess): - deacon, minister, servant.
1Kings 19:21 And he (Elisha) returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.
2Kings 3:11 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.
1Cor 3:5-7 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
1Cor 3:8-9 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

2Cor 3:4-5 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
2Cor 3:6-8 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Meaning – we must not think that Ministry is something we can just claim for ourselves. It is precious and a Gift from God – for His WORK and HIS KINGDOM & HIS PURPOSES…
THUS: If you desire to step into Ministry – but don’t know what or where to go etc. Wait on God’s direction. He will show you the way and reveal your calling to you all in good time.
Until then, prepare yourself, by Growing in the WORD and The Holy Spirit…
REMEMBER:
If you are in the WORD Alone – you will get PUFFED UP
If you are in the SPIRIT alone – you will get BLOWN UP
BUT with the WORD & the SPIRIT together – you will GROW UP !!!

Act 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
Act 13:3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
Here the Greek word for ministered means:
G3008: to be a public servant, that is, (by analogy) to perform religious or charitable functions (worship, obey, relieve): - minister.
Meaning we Minister unto Jesus through:
Worship,
Our Obedience to His Voice and Calling
and Charitable deeds which we show towards each other in HIS LOVE…
BUT: we can also Minister unto each other…
Joh 13: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
THUS: through our “Ministry” to each other – we can show the world that we are Disciples of Jesus…
And the Prophetic Ministry is one such example…
Although there are others too:
Giving
Healing
Forgiving
Manifesting the Fruits of the Spirit
Ministering the Gifts of the Spirit….Etc…
