2 ATC working hours Coming to work, uniform , to be at 7:00 at workplace
Take over the shift 7:00 to 8:00 8:00 meteo forecast Breakfast SC – briefing before 1st flying action (FA) Start 1st FA Lunch time End of 1st FA Debriefing Possibly 2nd FA (briefing + start + debriefing)

3 Dinner (about 18:00) End of 2nd FA (rest, radio and phone monitoring) 6:00 take over information from airport ground service (runway conditions, meteo information) 7:00 - 8:00 shift hand over 8:00 end of shift

4 Responsibilities Composition of a shift: SC, TWR, APP, ASO
TWR…(my responsibilities) Ensure non-radar separations among controlling aeroplanes (landing, taking off, on circuit) Inform taxiing aircraft about obstacles on the ground and the other traffic Maintain fluent and orderly air traffic flow on airport and circuit Coordinate and hand over traffic correctly to the other ATCs Control moving of vehicles and personnel on manoeuvering areas

5 Daily work problems Extremes (tiredness) Hunger, thirst and bad food
Shift composition(unpopular colleagues) Annoying pilots Stress Heat or cold in the workplace Bad smells at workplace New colleagues
