What does it mean to be a digital citizen?
Digital Citizenship is a broad term that covers a lot of important issues. It is the norms of appropriate, responsible behaviour with regard to the use of technology.

Networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Plus+, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat, AskFM, are very popular with teens.

What is your digital footprint?
A digital footprint is the word used to describe the trail, traces or “footprints” that people leave online. Everything that you post online combines to make your digital footprint.

What did you find when you Googled yourself? This is part of your trail of your digital footprint.

How to manage your digital footprint
Keep personal details private. When given the chance use a nickname and not your real name. Do not share your username or password with anyone. Think before you post. Don’t post things that you don’t want others to know about you, or that you wouldn’t say to their face. Be respectful of other people’s content that you post or share. Give credit when credit is needed.

Trillion Dollar Footprint Activity
I have put you into groups of 3 or 4. I am hiring you to be producers for the show “Trillion Dollar Footprint.” Your job is to look over online information of two fictional host applications, Linda and Jason. You have to decide who should be the host of the show based on honestly and who works well with others. You must deliver a pitch on why you decided to choose the candidate that you did.
