For a period the senior boarders were offered a peaceful time of music and silence before they slept. The head of boarding believes it would be easy to make a space available for night prayer, and that this could be a meaningful time for her boarders. There are spare bedrooms, and she suggested the chapel team could create a sacred space in one.

One student suggested that the humanities could do more to link belief and service into their topics: for example, when studying a tragedy, that could be used as a springboard for service.

Students could work with DOC setting traps, building paths etc.

· Students and staff could be invited to talk about how justice and peace can be evident in the way each talks with and treats the other; emphasising that it is more than fundraising for unknown people. An Amnesty International speaker could be invited in, with the aim of an AI group being established through the Chapel.

Many students come from farming or at least country backgrounds. There could be a place for developing student gardens to instruct in horticulture and sustainability. x
