General Characteristics of STD’s/STI’s:

Types of STD/STI Chlamydia- (Most common caused by bacteria)
1. symptoms (may have very few) for women may be pain with urination or intercourse for men urethral discharge, pain during urination, epididymitis 2. treatment use of antibiotics

Fluid-filled painful blisters appear anywhere on genital skin Lifetime outbreaks of painful sores 2. treatment Topical anesthetic gel Antiviral drugs No cure

Similar to Chlamydia but may also have a discharge 2. treatment Common antibiotics are not as effective
