TOPIC: TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCES SUB TOPIC: A CHART Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the learner should be able to: Define a chart State the importance of a chart as a teaching and learning resource State the characteristics of a good chart T/L Resources: A chart showing parts of a flower

3 STEP/TIME TEACHING ACTIVITIES LEARNING ACTIVITIES 1 INTRODUCTION 3 Minutes -The teacher will guide the learners in defining a chart -Learners define a chart 2 DEVELOPMENT 15 minutes -The teacher will guide and explain to the learners the importance of a chart. -The teacher asks questions on the importance of a chart. -The learners state the importance of a chart -The learners answer the questions.

4 -The teacher guides the learners in stating the characteristics of a good chart.
-The teacher displays a chart showing parts of a flower -The learners state the characteristics of a good chart. -The learners observe the chart 3 CONCLUSION 2 minutes -The teacher reviews the lesson through oral questions The learners answer the questions asked.

5 COMPETENCE-BASED LESSON PLAN
TOPIC: TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCES SUB TOPIC: A CHART OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, the learner should be able to: Describe what a chart is. Describe the steps involved in producing a good chart. Prepare a good chart. T/L resources: Manilla paper, felt pens, ruler, pencil, eraser and pencil sharpener.

6 STEP/TIME TEACHING ACTIVITIES LEARNING ACTIVITIES 1 INTRODUCTION 3 minutes -The teacher will guide learners in describing a chart -In groups of 3 (three), the learners will describe a good chart 2 DEVELOPMENT 12 minutes -The teacher guides the learners in describing the steps of producing a good chart. -The teacher will demonstrate how to prepare a good chart. -In their groups , the learners will identify and state the steps involved in producing a good chart. -The learners will observe the teacher carry out the demonstration. -In their groups, the learners make a good chart using the resources provided availed.

7 3 CONCLUSION 5 minutes -The teacher checks and displays the learner-made charts . -The learners observe and critique the charts
