I am Laura Madsen, the Account Executive for the Toronto area and during this presentation I will tell you the benefits of using Empire’s Fast and Full application. Going to talk to you today about a market that is currently underserved in today’s marketplace which is Generation X and Generation Y Insurance Companies have realized that we need to embrace a multi channel approach to help satisfy the younger generations need for convenience and better customer experience. So I will talk to you about how Empire is trying to reach the younger generation. The perception of life insurance is perceived as time consuming, expensive and all together overwhelming but the truth is life insurance has never been more affordable. Look online and talk to an agent So just to give you some background on the current way clients look to make a purchase for insurance a large number of consumers still want to talk to an agent. Whether that be over the phone or face to face before making a purchase. There is still a group of consumers that want advice and a relationship with their financial advisor. 18% look on-line and purchase on-line 31% use the traditional avenue-advisor only 51% Source: Consumer Internet Use for Retail Insurance, LIMRA, 2015. 4

5 Fast & Full Application Process 40% apps issued in under 10 days
40% apps issued in under 10 days eHQ apps issued in 6 days (2016 avg) compared to paper in 30 days e-signature, e-payment, e-contract & instant approval available2 Some of the great benefits of using this application process is simply that it can help you as an advisor get paid quicker. By using this application process 40% of applications are issued in under 10 days. There is a possibility for an instant approval for applications that fall into the non-medical requirements and the underwriting questions have been answered. These applications were issued in 6 days vs the paper process where the average is 30 days. We have e-signatures (so no wet signature is required except for policy delivery receipt), e-payment and our newest release is the e-contract. What is Non-Face-to-Face (NFTF) Selling ? Is when an Advisor conducts a sales interview with a prospective client using the internet and a phone. Key Benefits Reach a greater number of clients that you can’t reach in person due to distance or scheduling Speed up the entire sales process. Speed and convenience are the key benefits to the client, which in turn results in higher customer satisfaction. You also have the opportunity to complete NF2F sales. NF2F is when the sales experience takes place over the phone enhanced by a shared online experience. Think of that existing client that has moved to another city. You can update and top up coverage with one call versus multiple road trips. Or the small term sale that you drive across town to complete just because she is the niece of one of your largest clients. NF2F can be a game changer 6

7 Fast & Full – Upsell Opportunity Prototype
$23.18 $11.88 We have a built in CI upsell feature within the on-line application. Based on the insurance coverage being applied for it will prompt for a specific amount of CI coverage. This CI coverage is our CI Protect, which is the 4 major illnessess. Cancer, Heart Attack, Stroke and Coronary ByPass Surgery. This gives you the opportunity to offer this CI protection and the client can decide if they would like to add this protection. Even if the clients don’t want to select this particular coverage you can also have the discussion around our CI Protect Plus, which is a more comprehensive coverage. One of the reasons I like this feature is that it also covers you for compliance. You have record of discussing the CI coverage as they either have to accept or decline the coverage.
