Perspective Plan & NEETI
Mandatory Induction Training to newly admitted students to reinforce fundamental concepts and language skills
Curriculum Revision: AICTE Model Curriculum; Constitute subject wise Industry Consultation Committee (ICC) for examining existing curriculum and making changes every year (December each year)
Mandatory internship (4 to 8) weeks in industry for each UG students
Industry Readiness: To impart technical and soft skills required for industry; (managerial, entrepreneurial , leadership, communication, team work etc)
Promoting Innovation/Start-up: Formation of club, participation in Hackathon
Refresher Course for Teachers: Through SWAYAM portal; participation of 50% faculty is mandatory
Exam Reforms: Final examination shall test understanding of the concept and skills rather than subject knowledge

Identify mentor faculties in every affiliated institutes (1:20)
Training of faculty mentors from affiliated institutes by experts identified by IIT BHU

The mandate consists of 2 components i.e. consideration of AICTE model curriculum for immediate implementation and appropriate revision through industry consultation committee.
Introduce choice based credit system (CBCS)
Organizing workshops for faculty so as to implement AICTE model curriculum.
Deliberations on feasibility of implementing model curriculum and incorporating appropriate changes on the basis local needs.
Considering interlinking of GoI initiatives with curriculum (Digital India, Make in India, Start-up etc)
Identify industry experts for formation of subject wise Industry Consultation Committee (ICC) .
Communication & follow up with identified members for their acceptance. Suggested functions:

15. SWAYAM: (MOOCS & Digital Learning) & SWAYAM PRABHA
A group of 32 DTH channels - telecasting educational programmes on 24X7 using GSAT-15 satellite.
Daily new content for at least (4) hours - repeated 5 times, allowing to choose the time of convenience.
Contents by NPTEL, IITs. Curriculum-based course contents at UG/PG level
Certification-ready courses, offering MOOCs courses.
SWAYAM
Bridge digital divide for students who hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution.
An indigenous IT platform hosting 695 courses, NPTEL courses to be accessed by anyone, anywhere.
Courses are interactive, prepared by the best teachers in the country, free of cost.
SWAYAM courses in 4 quadrants –
Video lecture,
Specially prepared reading material that can be downloaded/printed
Self-assessment tests through tests and quizzes
An online discussion forum for clearing the doubts

16. SWAYAM & SWAYAM PRABHA: Solution
University Role
Introducing flexibility of opting for credit transfer (As per UGC guidelines, 20% credit courses can be done through SWAYAM portal)
If credit transfer not possible, at least 1 course done by students through SWAYAM (Non-credit)
Development of online courses for uploading it on SWAYAM
Establishment of studio for developing TEL courses based on university curriculum.
Ensuring during affiliation visit

Registration of at least 50% faculty every year is mandatory. (2000Courses)

17. Mandatory Internship: (Industry Institute Interaction)

Prepare discipline specific list of industries/ companies/ organisations (small scale, MSME, large scale, Internshala etc.) and make it available to all affiliated institutes
Prepare MIS for student information of all affiliated institutes
Communication with the industries/ organisations/ companies with institute details and student profiles.

Awareness workshops for students to inform them regarding the different career paths.

19. Mandatory Accreditation: (Reforms/ Governance)

Amend ordinances for making accreditation mandatory. (mandatory accreditation of 50% courses of affiliated institutions)
Revise affiliation norms and formats through statutory authorities so as to make accreditation mandatory, failing which affiliation may not be granted
Identifying faculty coordinator for institute as well as for each eligible department
Conduct workshop for faculty on accreditation procedures & Norms
Design & implement different formats/ rubrics for student assessment with respect to program outcomes
Incorporate accreditation criteria in academic monitoring mechanism/ affiliation process
